Volunteering

 

The Bethel community has a long history of  volunteerism in the area of emergency services.  The Bethel Volunteer Fire Department and the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Department are always looking for good people to take on the challenge.  Junior members of the department may join at age 16.  These two organizations also manage our community's ambulance services.

Volunteers are protected under the Volunteer Protection Act of 1997.

The Bethel Office of Emergency Management is in need of volunteers for a varied assortment of positions, such as communications, administration, driving 4-wheel drive vehicles, security, shelter management and more.  Individuals wishing to participate in our activities should contact:
